Resident-led choices
Every activity is optional. Residents decide how much to engage, and that can change from week to week.
Modular by design
Start with one plan and add others as you settle in — there is no obligation to take everything from the outset.
Clear monthly pricing
Each plan is billed monthly in HKD with no hidden charges or activity add-ons beyond what is listed.
Companion Circles
Small social groups that meet through the week for tea, card games, mahjong and shared stories. The groups are kept deliberately small so that new faces become familiar quickly. Hosts hold the room — welcoming, attentive — but never pressure anyone to join in. Residents participate on the days and in the ways that feel right to them.
What is included:
- Multiple group sessions per week — morning and afternoon
- Mahjong, card games, Chinese chess and casual conversation
- Seasonal observances and occasional shared outings
- Attentive host present throughout each session
Monthly plan
HK$960 / monthCultural & Recreation Studio
A weekly programme of calligraphy, Cantonese opera listening, gentle music sessions and craft afternoons, run in a light-filled studio. The studio is a space where residents follow what suits their mood — there is no fixed curriculum and no requirement to complete a project. Some come every week; others step in when a particular session appeals to them.
What is included:
- Weekly calligraphy sessions with materials provided
- Cantonese opera listening with light commentary
- Gentle music afternoons — guzheng, Cantonese folk songs
- Seasonal craft sessions and occasional special events

Residence & Lifestyle Plan
A comfortable furnished room with housekeeping and laundry, full dining, and open access to all social, cultural and garden activities — arranged as one unhurried monthly plan. This is the fullest expression of what Hoi Yan offers: everything taken care of, with no separate bookings or add-on fees. Residents move at their own pace and use what they wish.
What is included:
- Comfortable furnished room with personal storage
- Regular housekeeping and laundry service
- Three meals daily in the shared dining room
